Wakulla Springs Baptist Church was born out of a concept that northern Wakulla County needed a strong, Bible-based church, that would stress the importance of evangelism and discipleship, especially for the nurture of the Christian home. Pastor Rayford Hester and a small group of believers prayed and sought God's will in this matter. In October of 1996 some families began to meet for worship services and prayer. In December of 1996 the church began meeting at Shadeville Elementary School. The decision was made to purchase a parcel of land on Highway 319, just north of Crawfordville. In 2000, the church completed construction of our current worship facilities. In 2008, the church called its first full-time pastor. In February of 2015, Dr. Randy Creel became the senoir pastor. We are trusting the Lord to continue to lead us to impact our community and our world with the gospel.
